| Document Scanning and Archiving |
| |
Scanning
is the first stage in converting document libraries into electronic
format. Scanning is the appropriate solution for archiving
and storing documents, which can be viewed and printed. Amartech
Convergence performs scanning on line drawings, reduced media
(aperture cards, microfilm and microfiche), and any one-color
document. We also scan photographs, shaded drawings or even
color documents. Raster images can also be used as a template
to convert documents to CAD or GIS formats. Grayscale and
color scanning provides another level of information beyond
that of a black and white scan. When gray scale scanning is
performed, each pixel also carries a value for the level of
brightness or darkness; in the case of color scanning the
value is the number assigned to that point on the color spectrum.
Grayscale and especially color raster images can be quite
large. |

Document
conversions a means of converting a paper document to an electronic
file, which can then be edited, or converted to another file
format, such as PDF, HTML, or Word, in preparation for electronic
publishing. |

| Autovectorization |
| |
Automatic
vectorization (AV) is the automated use of raster tracing
software to create a vector file. It is not a substitute for
a full-featured CAD conversion. Line styles, line weights,
complex details and text all present problems for autovectorization
software. AV will create a file that may present the appearance
of a CAD-ready file. |

| 3D Modeling and Animation |

We
can then create a perspective view from any angle. We
can also add rendering, to create realistic surface
textures or show the effects of different lighting conditions
(e.g., sunlight vs. shadow). If you need to show how
your new design will integrate with the existing environment,
we can create a drawing/photo hybrid by merging the
3D model with a photograph of the site. For the ultimate
jaw-dropping effect, we can create an animated fly-through.

| OCR Conversion |

With
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, a scanned
image that contains text can be processed with OCR scanning
software. Whether you need high-speed production document
scanning or quality high-resolution color document scanning.
We have scanned hundreds of thousands of pages for digital
conversion to many electronic file formats. Textual documents
are converted into electronic format by using OCR. Pages containing
printed or typed words are converted to produce files that
can be loaded into a word processing or spreadsheet program. |

| Paper to CAD Conversion |

Finally,
you have neither the time nor the resources to create the
drawing from scratch in CAD.Have us convert the drawings into
CAD for you. We can produce anything from a simple scanned
image (see Scanning/ Archiving) all the way to a CAD-perfect
